I'm sure we all derive pleasure from our hobby of photography in many different forms, one of the things I like to do is to view exhibitions, some large, some small and take in the wide ranging styles covered.

Each year I try to get to as many of the clubs exhibitions (within the KCPA) as possible, I also enjoy trips up to London to see the larger ones, having just returned from one such exhibition, namely the Sunday Times 'Landscape Photographer of the year' I can heartily recommend you visit this yourself, Three of us went to the National Theatre on the South Bank & I can honestly say we were all hugely impressed with the whole thing, do try & get up to this before it closes on January 17th 2009. For further details about the exhibition and opening times please go to www.take-a-view.co.uk

This event is the brainchild of Charlie Waite, who, to most of you will need no introduction at all !

What impressed the most I think, was the sheer quality through out, I have to admit that some times I leave some of the London exhibitions feeling let down by a load of pretentious rubbish with a load of accopneing claptrap that shows the exhibitor can talk a good picture, even if they can't take one !! ( the emperor's new clothes syndrome) this exhibition however is excellent through out, all the photographers, all 112 of them, have web-sites which are shown at the back of the accompanying book (£25) along with the technical details & location details of all the shots.

Don't miss it !!!!!!
