MIKE BLAKE . 1937 - 2010
It is with regret that we have to announce the death of Mike Blake on Sunday 15th August. He fought bravely against cancer and never once complained about his situation. He was an active member of Invicta Photographic Club before becoming ill and he had the ability to review a problem and, after a pause, come up with an acceptable way forward. This ability he used to complete the time consuming and detailed paperwork for the grant to purchase the Club's digital equipment. He was presented with the Chairman's Shield for this valuable work. Mike was also a keen Enterprise dinghy sailor on the Medway and at Bewl Water. He will be very much missed.

His funeral is at 2:45 on Thursday 26th August at Vinters Park Crematorium and afterwards at the Chiltern Hundred Inn. Our condolences go out to his Wife and Family. No flowers please. Donations, if you wish, to the “Heart of Kent Hospice”, Preston Hall.

Invicta welcomes all who enjoy photography. We are photographic enthusiasts from the Maidstone and Medway areas who meet to share our joint interests. The club caters for people of all abilities and ages.

Invicta is a small friendly club, which is based on the pleasures gained from taking and viewing photographs and sharing photographic knowledge and skills. This website has our programme for you to view so that you have an idea of planned future events. There are also directions for you under "membership" to find where we meet at Detling Village Hall, close to the A249.

We would be pleased to meet you soon and your first couple of visits are free! Just pop along to a Club evening on a Thursday at 1915 for 1930 hrs and get a feel for what the club is like, just ask for Neal, Chairman, or Bill Vice-Chairman and they will introduce you to other members.
